Tips and Secrets for Making Marry Me Steak Tips with Sauce
Bring the steak to room temperature before grilling
- Build flavor slowly; don’t rush the sauce
- Don’t overcrowd the grill top; if need be, work in batches
- Look for meat with good marbling (don't skimp)
- Make sure your charcoal is smoking hot for searing
- Use fresh cheese, not pre-shredded
- Rest before serving

Common Mistakes: Grilling Beef Tips & Making Cheese Sauce
- Boiling the sauce. This can cause separation
- Cutting immediately. The beef will lose all its juices.
- Overcooking the beef. This is a quick, hot sear; otherwise, you get chewy meat.
- Skipping searing: You end up with gray beef without that coveted crust
Storage and Reheating of Grilled Filet Mignon Tips
If you plan to refrigerate the steak tips with cheese sauce, let them cool to room temperature first. Transfer to an airtight container where it will keep for 3-4 days. If you can keep the meat and sauce separate, you’ll achieve a better texture when reheating this dish.
You can freeze this dish, but the sauce doesn’t bounce back easily. You’ll need to defrost it and whisk it continually while warming. Shelf life 2-3 months.
For the best texture, reheat the pasta and sauce on the stove. Add just a little liquid (broth, milk, cream). Keep it over medium-low heat until thoroughly warmed. If you have the beef tips separated from the pasta, use a hot frying pan and give them a quick sear.
Alternatively, put the tips and cheese into the oven at 300°F for about 15 minutes. As with the stovetop, if the meat is separate, give it a quick fry.
Mission Accomplished
Marry Me Steak with Parmesan cheese sauce and pasta speaks volumes about your feelings without words. If there was ever a time to cook with love, it’s now.
