Every Cuso’s seasoning is handcrafted by Chef Cuso using only clean, all-natural ingredients. We never use seed oils, fillers, anti-caking agents, MSG, or artificial preservatives. What you see on the label is exactly what's in the jar — real herbs, real spices, real flavor. Most grocery store seasonings are loaded with hidden fillers like silicon dioxide, maltodextrin, and "natural flavors" that are anything but natural. We believe your food deserves better.
Seed oils (canola, soybean, sunflower, safflower, corn oil, etc.) are highly processed oils found in many seasonings and food products. They're high in polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) that can contribute to inflammation when consumed in excess. Many leading nutritionists recommend reducing seed oil intake as part of a healthier diet. At Cuso’s, we formulate every product to be completely seed oil free so you can season your food with confidence.
Many seasoning brands bulk up their products with cheap fillers like maltodextrin, silicon dioxide (anti-caking agent), modified food starch, or dextrose. These add no flavor — they just make the container look fuller while diluting the quality. Cuso’s never uses any of these. Every ingredient in our blends is there because it adds real flavor to your food.
Anti-caking agents like silicon dioxide and calcium silicate are added to many commercial seasonings to keep the powder from clumping. While they're technically "food safe," they're essentially ground-up sand or rock. We skip them entirely. If your Cuso’s seasoning ever clumps slightly, that's actually a sign of a clean product — just give the jar a quick shake and you're good to go.
Our seasonings and rubs are made without any gluten-containing ingredients. However, they are not produced in a certified gluten-free facility, so we cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination. If you have a severe gluten allergy or celiac disease, please consult your doctor before use.
